Welcome, HODLers! ₿ The goal of the tabletop game HODL UP™, developed by Scott & Tali Lindberg, is to have to the most bitcoin when the last block is mined. There is a limited amount — only 21,000,000 bitcoin. You can move pieces between the time chain (the board) and player wallets (reference cards) but you cannot add or remove any. Moving bitcoin requires players to "mine" which is simply forming sets of cards called blocks. Learning to play only takes a few practice rounds!
In addition, 21 BITCOIN LESSONS is the corresponding book based upon the #STEMAuthenticated game mentioned above that helps the new and curious take their first steps through gameschooling. Here are insights that you’ll discover within:
- From a personal savings perspective, everyone is looking for a long-term store of value to protect against our inflationary monetary system. Understanding key Bitcoin concepts can be the difference between smart money decisions and getting wrecked on exchanges.
- From a humanitarian perspective, Bitcoin is freedom money for the un-banked and those living in hyper-inflationary countries.
- From an energy perspective, Bitcoin drives healthy incentives, e.g., capturing previously flared methane and balancing electric grids using solar and wind.
